Monthly updates for July.

This month I have started my new program at Arohanui. It goes from July 2026 to Dec 2026. It’s been a great month starting up my new sessions!  In my new program I am volunteering at the Welcome Bay Community Centre. I have been helping out by sorting and folding clothes. I have Computers/Literacy in my new program. This month I have been watching Taylor Swift videos and practicing reading out loud. I’m so happy that I am continuing to have swim sessions in my new program! I love swimming and relaxing at Greerton pools. In my new program I have decided to mix things next and try photography. The highlight of photography this month was going to Gordan Carmichael reserve to take photos. I think I took some amazing photos! My key staff(Will) also had a chat with me about my IPP meeting next month. I talked with Will about goals that I could bring up at the meeting. I look forward to having this meeting so that I can plan some goals for the next 12 months! So overall a great month and ...

Monthly updates for June.

Halfway through the year already! Where does the time go!  At Greerton pools this month I have continued to swim lengths, throw a ball around with my friends and take some time to sit back and relax! In Sports this month I have been practicing ball skills, I especially enjoyed playing basketball! I also went out for a walk with my friends. I have done some cool outings this month. My highlights were going to Marble bar to play pool and going to the playground (at The Strand).  I loved eating the food I created during cooking this month. I made chickpea curry and pasta sauce.  I had fun with the lads during the Guys group sessions this month. The lads and I helped deliver plants to a staff member mothers house. I helped plant some plants at the centre and I went to some Op shops to look for an outfit for the ball(which is happening this month!).  This month I also did some artwork with a staff member (Amy). I made Matariki stars, a candle holder and a large art pencil...

Accadia Manor

  I had so much fun this afternoon at Accadia Manor. We met lots of new people and played bean bag toss with them. We were given a chocolate fishtotake home. A great afternoon.DG
